Remember, this guide is specially for windows users. First of all, you have to decide which partition or drive you want to encrypt so prepare it first and put your private files in it. After that, we'll use BitLocker, which is the default windows encryption program, to encrypt our drive.

• Go To My Computer >> Right Click on the drive which you want to encrypt.
• Click on "Turn on BitLocker"

• Tick mark "Use a password to unlock the drive"
• Enter Password and also re-enter.

• Click Next
• Now you'll asked to backup your recovery key

• Here you have several ways to backup your recovery key. You can save it in your Microsoft account, USB flash drive, a file or print it. 
• Choose the best method that suits you.
• Done!
